Redwoods & Sequoias - bernieo
In May or June of this year I dug a trench around the tree about 4' in diameter. This cut off quite a bit of the root system while allowing the tree to be nourished by a water bag. We put a watering bag (Gator Bag) that holds 20 gallons of water. The bag was filled once a week. This soil was the richest soil I have ever seen. NO ROCKS! When it came time to dig this up yesterday the tree came right out of the ground. I got rid of most of the dirt and drove it out to the farm today and planted it.
