The Joshua Tree.
In Loving Memory of Joshua.
Six Years ago Joshua died a young man in an avalanche in Europe. This Douglas Fir, a seedling... was given out at Joshua's Memorial Service. Joshuas parents gave out 75 seedlings to those who attended. The seedlings traveled all around the country to all the places Joshuas friends came from. People planted them in their yards and made hikes to places to plant their Douglas Firs. This is the last one.
When Joshua's parents read the Seattle Times article about me saving trees they knew they had found a place to set him free. This is the 1st tree on our new trail.
I started out saving trees to repopulate my property. Now with Joshua, survivor's of Spirit Lake Trees, The Placenta Tree, Anne Frank Tree (Almost), kindergarten tree, 6 Giant Sequoias from the guy who wanted to start his own Sequoia forest and the deal fell through on his property... I'm making prayers and saving dreams.
